Some of the officers and members present at the Aug. 26, 2007 picnic and election !

We are the officers and members of the United Mindoro International, Inc., a non-profit organization registered in New York in 1991 with Juliet Anonuevo Payabyab, Rebecca Alday Napenas and Tawel Abeleda as incorporators. The first election was at Bayonne Park, Bayonne, New Jersey in the Summer of 1991 followed by an induction in December of the same year.  Members are individuals and/or families from Oriental and Occidental Mindoro. 

• Most recently, the group welcomed Vice Gov. Estee Aceron of Calapan during her visit in NYC on Sept. 29, 2007. Then on Oct. 3, 2007, the same group welcomed Vice Pres. Noli de Castro, also during his visit in NYC on Oct. 3, 2007. In the past, former Governor Chippy Espiritu, former asst. to Sen. Ernesto Maceda, Bong Ignacio, the late former Governor Bart Marasigan and the current Congressman Boy Umali were also welcomed  during their brief visits to New York and New Jersey. 
• On August 26, 2007, a picnic-election was held at Astoria Park in Queens, New York.

An oath-taking by the 2007-2008 officers took place on September 26, 2007 at the Philippine Center, New York City located on Fifth Ave.  

We encourage our site visitors to reach fellow kababayans from Mindoro to join and support us in our projects benefitting Mindoro, both the Oriental and Occidental sides.
